[postlink]http://radical-technology.blogspot.com/2010/11/nict-digital-holography.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1YTciRErX0endofvid [starttext]The NICT has developed the world's first digital holography system that can display color video with a viewing angle of 15 degrees and diagonal width of 4 cm. This system was exhibited at CEATEC JAPAN 2010. Digital holography is said to be the ultimate 3D technology, as it doesn't need 3D glasses or strain the eyes, it has high picture quality, and it faithfully reproduces depth. However, it also has some technical problems: the viewing angle is narrow and the 3D pictures are small. So the big issue with digital holography is that the 3D pictures are difficult to view. [postlink]http://radical-technology.blogspot.com/2010/11/new-technology-helps-parents-monitor.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzuJu9wt4zYendofvid [starttext]Distracted driving caused by using a cell phone is the leading cause of death among teenage drivers in the United States, claiming an average of 4,000 lives a year. In 2008, nearly 6,000 people died in the United States - and more than half a million people were injured - in crashes involving a distracted driver. While 30 states have banned texting while driving, studies show a ban is not stopping text-obsessed drivers. But now, new technology is aimed at counteracting this, and other, disturbing driving trends.[endtext] Bookmark and Share

[postlink]http://radical-technology.blogspot.com/2010/11/amazing-plantronics-voyager-pro.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHxJiV05o1wendofvid [starttext]On paper, this looks like a very good product. The Voyager PRO features an active DSP that Plantronics calls "Audio IQ2". This noise reduction system utilizes the Voyager PRO’s two microphones to help cancel out ambient noise from your surroundings to help project your voice to the caller you are speaking to. It’s also supposed to help with the sound quality of the speaker as you are listening. The Voyager PRO also sports a WindSmart microphone screen to help shield the microphones from wind noise further allowing the headset to thrive in less-than-ideal conditions.
While not the lightest headset on the market, the Voyager PRO weighs in around 17 grams which is even heavier than our beloved but clunky Aliph Jawbone. The difference between the Voyager PRO and the Jawbone however is how the weight is distributed across the user’s ears. We really didn’t notice how heavy the older Voyager 510 was so we expect similar results for this new headset.

[postlink]http://radical-technology.blogspot.com/2010/11/new-technology-for-getting-high.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIqEwsOyHSoendofvid [starttext]EPOS Group has developed and patented a new technology for digital shooting art works that, in terms
of information capacity, is by far superior to solutions provided by professional digital cameras and
various scanning systems.

High image resolution is achieved by using digital cameras with a patented e-module that moves the
camera lens relative to the picture and the camera matrix. Thus, the picture can be divided into a certain
number of fragments that are each shot in succession. The software then automatically brings all the
fragments together into a single whole that produces an image with a resolution of 250 megapixels or
more. [endtext] Bookmark and Share
